An item costs $25 and is marked up 10%.

Find the markup.

Find the selling price.







Find the markup.  $2.50

Find the selling price.  $25 + $2.50 = $27.50

The same thing applies for the word discount = money taken away.  Selling price would  mean take discount away to find the new price.

Look at your homework from yesterday.  On a scale of 1-10, how challenging was it for you.  
1 = not challenging at all
